Does anyone know how to improve Sims 3 performance on a MacBook Pro? I have more RAM on this laptop than I do on my desktop (where it runs perfectly), and just as good of a graphics card. Hi guys, I've been having really laggy gameplay lately (Late Night, most recent patch), so I downloaded both the Overwatch and the Master Controller (both designed to improve gameplay). One thing that's horribly irritating with Sims 3, especially with how slow the high speed is, is that there's no option to have the game run in the background (at least, not that I saw). With other games, I can tab out during the downtime (like the flights in WoW, UGH) and check my email, chat a little bit, etc., and the game would keep doing it's ( Read more... )

Haven't seen this mentioned. I have a G15 keyboard which displays the use of each processor core as a separate graph. When playing Sims 2, one of the lines will go to the top, while the others stay near zero. When I play Sims 3, all three of the lines go close to 50%, with one of them going closer to 75%. Recently I got the Sims 3. I installed it onto my computer and it works but it lags like crazy, Thinking it might be the game I installed it on my sister's computer. It runs perfect on her's. The problem is my sister won't let me play on hers. So is there anyway that I can speed up my computer for free?

Not sure if this has been asked yet but is anyone else having problems with the speeds? Even when it's on the highest speed it goes SO slow. Anyway to fix it? Ugh I'm really not impressed with the game so far :(
